How to use the co-op cafeteria

Welcome to the co-op cafeteria.
Nagoya University has many co-op cafeterias that offer nutritious meals at low prices. To use the co-op cafeterias, you need to join the co-op.

Payments for meals can be made in cash or using co-op exclusive electronic money.

The co-op cafeterias offer halal and vegetarian menus.

The following is a brief explanation of how to use the co-op cafeteria.

  1. Please decide on the menu before entering the store.
  2. Please take a tray at the entrance.
  3. Please line up at the corner that offers the menu you have chosen.
  4. Please order from the menu at the counter.
  5. Please take salads and side dishes from the showcase.
  6. Please take cutlery and dressing before checkout. (An additional charge will be applied from the second dressing.)
  7. Please pay at the register with cash or co-op exclusive electronic money.
  8. Please take some water (it's free).
  9. Please enjoy your meal at the available table.
  10. After the meal, please take the tray to the dish return area.

Notes for use

 
  1. Rice, curry, bowls, and noodles come in multiple sizes. The amount of toppings varies depending on the size.
  2. The set menu has predetermined combinations. Please do not forget to take the miso soup and side dishes.
  3. Credit cards cannot be used
  4. The halal vegetarian menu is marked with this sign. 
  5. Please check the price tag for allergy information.

Selection of ingredients and cooking methods for halal and vegetarian menus.

  1. The ingredients in the provided menu do not include pork or alcohol.
  2. The chicken used is sourced from halal-certified ingredients.
  3. Delivery, storage, and the dishes used are not separated from non-halal items.
  4. Cooking is done in a central kitchen, and the dishes are reheated after being rapidly frozen.
  5. All ingredients and seasonings for the vegetarian recommended menu are free from animal-derived ingredients.
  6. Some halal recommended menu items use seasonings that are free from animal-derived ingredients.
